Darin Cook and Rich Blaser founded Infinite Energy in Gainesville, Florida, and adopted a motto that everyone wants a purpose in life. In 2015, Infinite Energy bought the rights for a 20-year term to the Gwinnett Convention and Visitor’s Center for 18 million dollars. The center is located in Duluth, Georgia. At the time of the purchase, Infinite Energy pledged to donate $5 to schools in Gwinnett County for every Infinite Energy customer located in the county as a way to say thank you for their business.
Infinite Energy was acquired by Gas South, an Atlanta, Georgia-based company in 2020. This acquisition made Gas South the largest retail natural gas company in the United States..
